Coruway Film Institute

Ours is a collaborative operation. That is one of the reasons we all came to it. We really like to work with other people. But this is also a creative operation. Full of intention, hopes, aspirations and often engaged because there's a problem. The essence of drama is conflict and we like that, we look for that, we are defined by that.

Given the collaboration at the center of our work it is natural that we help others in a variety of ways. Sometimes it is in defining the problem and fleshing out the related story. Sometimes it is in defining the means to access the story. Sometimes it is in helping to define the many ways to capture and present a story. Sometimes it is in defining the audience.

Moving beyond defining the story and project we also assist in a variety of technical capacities, whether through providing the cameras and operators or in recommending the tehcnology to employ.

Beyond production we have provided editing support, both technical and creative. We began with film, but embraced digital technology early on and have seen how photographic skills are electronic skills, just as the cleanest website needs basic stories to give them life.

We believe in the power of the medium and have shown others how they can harness that power.
